Wind & Percussion Auditions

 
 

Directors must register before students will be allowed to register under their school. If you cannot find your director, please encourage them to complete their registration. All students must attend or play in their orchestra or band with a CHSAA Affiliated school. Students, please ask your director if the school is paying or if the individual is paying the audition fees.

Accepted Instrumentation

  1. Colorado All State Orchestra accepts the standard orchestral instrumentation for both orchestras every year. When the literature requires it, we also accept other wind instruments. Instrumentation for 2022 is as follows:

    • Piccolo and Flute

    • Oboe

    • English Horn

    • Bb Clarinet

    • Bass Clarinet (must double on clarinet as well)

    • Bassoon

    • French Horn

    • Bb Trumpet

    • Tenor and Bass Trombone

    • Tuba

    • Timpani

    • Percussion

 

Audition Submission Instructions:

  1. Directors Register (link on director page).

  2. Students Register themselves at link above.

  3. Students (10th-12 grade) submit audition (One mp3 file - audio only) recordings to their director.

  4. Directors confirm that the recordings are complete and done by their student.

  5. Directors log in to submit student auditions.
