Please refer to the ASO website for repertoire suggestions. Certain pieces have
been assigned a numerical score according to difficulty. This is the numerical
score the student will receive for that piece when the recording is judged by
the panel. If the piece you have selected to play is not on the list it is fine
to audition on your piece. Just find another piece that is close to the
difficulty of yours to determine the score it will receive. The titles of pieces
heard this year and not yet on the All-State repertoire list will be added to
the list for next year. Please audition only on solo literature. Orchestral
excerpts and parts from your school orchestra music are not acceptable solo
selections for All-State Orchestra auditions.
