CALL FOR ALTO SAXOPHONE AUDITIONS
The Colorado All-State Orchestra is in need of alto saxophone players in both the Symphony and Philharmonic Orchestras this year. All interested students should complete an audition form and submit an audition (with $20.00 fee) to the Colorado All-State Orchestra Chair.
All auditions must be postmarked by November 13, 2009.
Audition materials are as follows:
Scales: Concert E-flat Major – 2 Octaves in Sixteenth Notes (Quarter = 112)
Concert E-flat Harmonic minor scale –
2 Octaves in Eighth Notes (Quarter = 120)Chromatic Scale – 2 Octaves in Eighth Notes (Quarter Note = 80)
Solo piece of 2-2.5 minutes in length (All-State Band audition is acceptable)
